With three decades of experience practicing cosmetic and general dentistry, John Walker, DDS, is regarded as one of Olympia’s premier dentists. An early practitioner of innovative cosmetic and general dental procedures, Dr. Walker has continued to expand his expertise with many days of continuing education classes each year and ongoing investments in new technology.
Dr. Walker is a member of several national and local associations, including the American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association, and the Thurston-Mason Counties Dental Society. His involvement with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Academy of Computerized Dentistry ensures he maintains strong technical proficiency.
Dr. Walker is a member of the advisory board for South Puget Sound Community College Dental Assisting Program, where he has taught part-time. He is active in various Thurston County health communities, including Children’s Dental Health Coalition, the Campaign to Fluoridate Thurston County, the Community School Sealant Program, and the ABCD Task Force to improve access to care for low income children and families.
Born and raised in Tacoma, Dr. John Walker attended the University of Washington, earning both an undergraduate degree in Zoology and his doctorate degree in Dentistry. He lives in Olympia and is the proud father of daughter Lauren and two sons, Evan and Cole. He enjoys many outdoor activities including biking, hiking, camping, snow and waterskiing, and on and off-road motorcycling.
