Megan graduated from the Dental Assisting Program at South Puget Sound CC in 2001. She spent the majority of her assisting years in orthodontics. She decided to take some time away to start a family and help with the family business. Wanting to get back into dentistry, while putting her administrative skills to work, she knew right where she wanted to land. She was excited to join Dr. Walker’s & Dr. Krause’s administrative team in 2018.
When Megan is not working she is busy being a mom! She loves supporting her kids in all their activities, whether it’s baseball, football, or dance. In her free time, Megan enjoys spending time with her family and friends, snow skiing at White Pass and tap dancing. She also loves watching baseball and looks forward to attending as many Mariners games as she can.
Shannon graduated from South Puget Sound CC in 1996 with an Associate of Technical Arts in Dental Assisting degree. Shannon got her passion for dentistry while working for her dad at Turpin Dental Lab. Shannon spent the first 6 years of her career in orthodontics before coming to work for Dr. Walker & Dr. Krause. Shannon worked as one of Dr. Walker’s & Dr. Krause’s assistants for her first 8 years before moving to the front office to utilize her banking experience as the Financial Coordinator/Office Manager. Shannon joined Dr. Walker’s & Dr. Krause’s team in 2002 and is one of many long term employees. Shannon loves working with patients both clinically and financially to ensure their experience is seamless and enjoyable.
When Shannon is not working you will find her spending time with her husband, two sons, three step daughters watching and supporting as many of their organized sports and events she can. Shannon spends her free time playing soccer, running, playing with her Westie dog Rubee and relaxing with her family and friends.
Courtney graduated from Eastern Washington University in May 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene and has been with Walker & Krause Dental Team ever since. Courtney is native to Olympia and graduated from Olympia High School.
Becoming a Dental Hygienist has always been a dream of Courtney’s and her favorite aspects of the profession are building relationships and positively impacting her patients. Courtney is also passionate about advocating for her patients and providing individualized care based on each patient’s needs.
In her free time, Courtney enjoys spending time with her friends and family, fishing, coaching and playing volleyball, and cheering on the Seattle Mariners.
Dayna Dayton attended Eastern Washington University then graduated from Pierce
College Dental Hygiene Program in 1992. She spent the first 20 or so years of her career working in a pediatric dental office. She currently splits her days at Walker & Krause Dental between dental cleanings and restorative procedures.
Dayna feels her greatest accomplishment in life is her 2 children. Her son Greysen currently attends University of Washington and plays tenor sax in the Husky Marching Band. Dayna is guilty of going to UW football games only to watch the band! Her daughter Meysa will be graduating from Capital High School where she is a Captain on the Cougarette Dance Team. Meysa’s goal is also to attend University of Washington.
One of Dayna’s special loves is coordinating and participating in volunteer dental trips to Zihuatanejo. She has been providing care for the people of Zihua for over 10 years. When not doing dentistry, Dayna fills her time traveling, golfing, skiing, going on adventures with her family and soaking up every ounce of sun she can in Palm Springs.
Taking the fear and confusion out of dentistry is the thing Dayna enjoys most about her job. Delivering pain-free anesthetic and alleviating a patient’s concerns is the best part of her day.
Yin started her dental career as a dental assistant in 2006 and later followed her passion to dental hygiene. What drew her to dentistry is the ability to help patients feel confident in their smile. She enjoys the preventive and educational aspect of dental hygiene but also LOVES the ability to perform restorative treatment. She believes no matter what language you speak, a smile is the universal language.
She was born in Vietnam but raised in Lacey for the past 25 years. “Summer and fall are my absolute favorite times of the year, it’s hard to leave the beautiful sunshine and fresh air.”
Dentistry may be her first love but cooking and baking is her other passion. She’s happily married to her high school sweetheart, Chris, and also a busy mom of 2 young boys (Landon and Owen). When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and close friends, camping, jogging, and watching movies (huge fan of Marvel Comic movies). These are what truly make her happy and she’s grateful for every moment spent.
Jessicah has worked for Dr Walker & Dr. Krause for 24+ years, Jessicah is an EFDA (Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary) and as such is trained to place fillings and take impressions along with other chair side duties.
Of the many things Jessicah likes about her job, one of her favorites is being able to put an apprehensive patient at ease and at the end of their appointment having them say that was the best dental appointment they’ve ever had. She also enjoys the opportunity to help so many patients get the smile they have always wanted.
In her spare time Jess enjoys wake surfing on Long Lake and snow skiing at White Pass with her husband and two beautiful daughters. When not outdoors, she enjoys baking, making pottery and cheering on the Seahawks and local high school teams.
